Factory Walkthrough Video
When Europe’s largest book manufacturer, CPI, needed to showcase their Croydon-based cover manufacturing facility to clients around the world, they turned to White Event Production to help tell the story.
While CPI traditionally invited clients onsite for a personal factory tour, the practicalities of global travel meant that many customers were unable to visit in person. CPI wanted to give these clients an immersive way to experience their state-of-the-art processes — and that’s where video came in.
Understanding the brief
We began with an onsite visit to map out the production journey and understand every key step of the process. Working in close collaboration with CPI’s team, we developed a visual storyboard to ensure the film would be as informative and engaging as a physical tour — all guided by a clear, professionally scripted voiceover.
A dynamic filming approach
We planned a carefully coordinated shoot, including:
- Safe drone flight path planning with RAMS and local authority approvals to capture aerial perspectives inside and outside the facility
- A flexible one-day shoot using a two-person camera crew and a ‘run-and-gun’ approach, ensuring minimal disruption to the live manufacturing environment
- A full professional camera package including Sony FX6, FX9, Ronin 4D systems, paired with Cooke lenses, to ensure beautiful cinematic visuals throughout
Bringing the story to life
In post-production, we combined:
- Drone and ground footage to create an engaging visual narrative
- Animation by our in-house team, who brought CPI’s factory blueprints to life on screen to enhance client understanding
- A professional voiceover that guided the viewer through each stage of the process, creating an experience that’s as close as possible to a real-life tour
The result
The finished video now gives CPI a flexible tool to share with both existing and prospective clients, offering a polished and accessible window into their Croydon facility — no matter where in the world the viewer is based.
