UK & Ireland Awards 2026

Some events last an evening.
Others represent years of dedication, discipline, and relentless pursuit of perfection.

The Michelin Guide UK & Ireland Awards sits firmly in the latter. For chefs across the UK and Ireland, the ceremony marks a defining moment — where careers are transformed in a matter of minutes, and lifelong ambition is recognised on a global stage. For the fourth consecutive year, White Event Production was entrusted to bring that moment to life, delivering full creative and technical production for the awards at Dublin’s iconic Convention Centre Dublin (CCD).

Designing a Stage Worthy of the Stars

The brief was clear: create an environment that reflected Michelin’s legacy of excellence while delivering a modern, cinematic experience for both the live audience and viewers watching around the world.

The CCD’s vast auditorium provided an extraordinary canvas — and an equally ambitious challenge.

Working with the venue’s full theatrical flying system, the team sculpted the stage space using three suspended LED arches, formed from EPIX fixtures, creating depth, symmetry and drama around the ceremony’s focal point.

At its centre, a 13-metre-wide LED wall floated above the stage — built from ultra-fine 2.5mm Absen panels — delivering a crisp, immersive digital backdrop powered by Disguise media servers. Custom content filled the expansive canvas, ensuring every announcement, every reaction, and every star reveal felt monumental.

The transformation extended beyond screens. A bespoke black stage fascia reshaped the architecture of the venue, while illuminated LED stair treads and black velour flooring created a seamless awards walk-up experience — elegant in the room and flawless on camera.

More than 100 lighting fixtures were carefully layered to balance theatrical atmosphere with broadcast precision, ensuring the ceremony felt equally powerful whether viewed from a theatre seat or a screen thousands of miles away.

Broadcasting Moments That Change Lives

While the audience inside the auditorium experienced the anticipation firsthand, tens of thousands more joined remotely.

This year’s ceremony was captured using a full 4K broadcast workflow — elevating production to cinematic standards. Blackmagic URSA cameras captured every detail, supported by a wireless Steadicam weaving through the action and an 8-metre crane jib delivering sweeping, emotional perspectives across the room.

From quiet pre-announcement tension to the instant joy of newly awarded chefs, every moment was directed live to a global audience of over 30,000 viewers.

Audio clarity matched the visual ambition, combining the venue’s system with additional d&b reinforcement and a Yamaha DM7 control environment, supported by Shure Axient wireless technology to ensure every word landed with precision.

Beyond the Stage: Crafting the Guest Journey

For Michelin, the experience begins long before guests take their seats.

White Event Production worked across the entire venue to create a cohesive journey — transforming the CCD into a fully branded celebration of the Michelin Guide.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, Dublin itself became part of the experience. The nearby Liffey Bridge was pixel-mapped with Michelin Star branding, glowing across the city and building anticipation among passers-by.

Guests arriving at the venue stepped onto a red-carpet welcome, surrounded by immersive branding installations, star-themed vinyl graphics, and architectural lighting that bathed the CCD façade in Michelin red.

Inside, photo opportunities — including a partner step-and-repeat wall and appearances from the Michelin Man — created moments designed to be shared, remembered, and celebrated.

Precision Behind the Scenes

Delivering an event of this scale in Ireland required as much logistical precision as creative vision.

White Event Production coordinated international transport of three articulated truckloads of technical equipment, furniture, and scenic elements, supported by ATA Carnet documentation and a travelling crew of more than two dozen specialists.

Alongside production delivery, the team provided full show management — overseeing rehearsals, presenter coordination, and run-of-show execution to ensure every transition felt effortless to the audience.

An Irish Celebration After the Applause

When the final stars were awarded, the evening evolved into something entirely different.

Guests moved into a transformed hall space where the after-party embraced Irish culture and hospitality — marking the first time the awards had been hosted on Irish soil.

Inspired by Dublin’s legendary live music venues, White Event Production created an intimate Irish bar-themed stage featuring traditional styling, whiskey barrels, and a Guinness bar installation. Festoon lighting swept across the space, softening the architecture and creating warmth and energy as live musicians performed throughout the evening.

Headline sponsor La Rousse Foods showcased Ireland’s culinary excellence through immersive food stations, while Michelin’s official partners hosted beautifully designed activation spaces aligned with the premium standards of their brands.

A bespoke 360° photo experience — built using circular truss, draping, and dramatic red lighting — ensured celebrations continued long into the night.

The Result

From first arrival to final celebration, the Michelin Guide UK & Ireland Awards in Dublin became more than an awards ceremony — it was an experience carefully crafted around storytelling, precision, and emotion.

White Event Production delivered a technically ambitious, creatively unified event that honoured the extraordinary achievements of chefs receiving, retaining, and elevating their Michelin Stars.

Because while the ceremony lasts just 60 minutes, the moments it creates stay with its winners forever.
