Severn Trent
Outdoor COVID Secure Leadership Event.
When Severn Trent needed to host their key Leadership Event during the challenges of COVID-19, they turned to us for a creative solution that would keep employees engaged and ensure safety. Despite tight restrictions, we worked hand-in-hand with their team to deliver an event that was both safe and unforgettable.
Creative Problem-Solving at Its Best
With only two months to plan, we faced a unique challenge: creating a leadership event for 900 managers that would still feel like a traditional Severn Trent event, but without a physical venue. We researched various outdoor options and, after some careful planning, found the perfect location at Carsington Water. However, the location posed some logistical challenges. So, we recommended a smaller, more manageable audience and tailored the event to fit safely within the restrictions, making sure every attendee would have a fantastic experience.
An Event Like No Other
Taking inspiration from drive-in movie formats, we set up four distinct event zones, each with a unique theme and fully equipped to accommodate socially distanced groups. From the Back to the Future Delorean to a Moneyball-themed pickup truck, the themed presentations rotated around the audience, keeping things fresh and engaging. Over 130 attendees participated in each session, safely distanced but fully immersed in the event’s atmosphere.
Unmatched Attention to Detail
The event wasn’t just about delivering a leadership message – it was about creating an experience that people would remember. We ensured every detail was taken care of, from the bespoke site accreditation system to interactive audience engagement features. Even the event staff underwent regular COVID-19 tests, ensuring a safe environment for all.
A Big Success
The event was a huge success, with excellent feedback from attendees. Severn Trent’s leadership team was thrilled with how the event showcased their ability to adapt and thrive even in difficult times. The feedback from the audience was equally positive, with participants praising how well-organised and safe the event felt.
